As  a Law of Attraction coach I’m often asked why new ventures that feel exciting and hopeful at the outset often run into roadblocks.

A better question might be:  what’s the big deal about a roadblock?

It’s a spiritual fantasy to think that we can create a magnificent life without encountering any challenges or fears. In his  latest Law of Attraction book,  Manifesting Change, Mike Dooley writes: “If your life did not have challenges it would not be worth living…there would be no adventure.”

Abraham-Hicks’s first two Law of Attraction books were called A New Beginning (part 1 and part 2). Published in the late 1980s, the central point of these books was this: in any moment we can claim a new beginning.

If there’s an area of your life or work in which you could use a new beginning, it’s available to you always through your divine inheritance as a creator. All you have to do is choose it. “I now choose a new beginning for myself on the subject of _________.”

Done!

Keep this in mind: after you make this choice, expect the Law of Attraction to immediately send you more of the same old stuff you want to change.

As our hearts (individually and as the One Heart) go out to the people of Japan coping with a 9.0 earthquake, a tsunami, and now the increasing danger of high radiation levels, I have a confession to make. When the news struck last Friday, I went into great fear for the future of humanity and our planet.

Maybe this was an appropriate initial response.

Last week, as I searched the Internet for information not reported in mainstream media, it was easy to conclude that this natural disaster is part of the countdown to 2012, a clear sign that the end days are here. I read sites predicting where the next earthquakes would strike, information channeled by extra-terrestrials about which cities, states and countries would be safe after the big cataclysm (not many), and all kinds of survival tips. Shoot – should I have been hoarding goal and silver all these years?

In working with my 8 new amazing “In the Vortex Coaching Program” clients, I’m reminded again that owning and developing a business is a remarkable spiritual path. This is true even though the initial issues that call entrepreneurs to Law of Attraction coaching with me typically focus on money and success – not on spiritual development.

If the idea that selling is spiritual surprises you, I’m glad you are here. Because continuing to dismiss selling as sleazy, difficult to do, pushy, or uncomfortable only delays your prosperity, when you own a business and believe in spiritual marketing.

Selling is part of every ancient culture, whether it’s trading among native peoples throughout the Americas or making deals  at  a desert oasis  in northern Africa.
