Hi Janine - You've identified one of the real gems of cooperating with LoA: That we are most successful when we are attending to our own happiness and vitality." It's easy to talk about self care - but the proof is when we take action to do it. We put our feet up and we read the book - even if it's only for 10 minutes. The benefits accumulate! Thank you so much for these comments.

Well, I'm a bit delayed reading this post because the last few weeks have been flat out for me! So, a very relevant post, and a very good post.

You're so right - there will always be things on our to do list - in this day and age most of us motivated people will never get done all we have to/want to but we regularly need to say 'screw it' and tend to our energy levels. This is what I love about the Law of Attraction. That we are most successful when we are tending to our own happiness and vitality. That energy is so attractive and contagious. It's so easy to get caught up in the work hard, need to, have to rush of modern life. It's so refreshing when you realise that you don't have to; that you can choose not; that you are most successful when all aspects of your life and energy are in balance; that 'rebooting' is not a waste of time - it's a necessary element of success.

Thank you for the loving reminder and I'll make sure I get in the vortex with a good book and footrest shortly before my daughter gets home from pre-school : )

Good for you, Kathy. "Rebooting" is a great way to describe it - and I like what you say about accepting where you are while also trusting that you're on your right path. Beautiful.

Cliff, interestingly, you and your commitment to mountain biking came to mind as I was writing this post! I like what you say about "true desires" - it's all about the art of being alive.

Today after sleeping a full 8 hours last night, I decided at noon I had to take a nap. (truthfully, I was up at 3:00 am to reposition my mom-in-law, whom I'm taking care of with my husband.)

After a half a day of packing to move with my mom-in-law, helping her get dressed/changed, feeding her and hearing the voices in my head as they asked me how I got into this place - I decided to just lay down and rest and do my very best to accept that life is perfect and we are all divine. For about 45 minutes I just rested, or "rebooted" my mind. It was exactly what I needed.

When I was a few years younger, I never would have given myself permission to do that - I would have charged on through. I'm finally at a place where I accept where I am WHILE trusting that I AM on the right path and am able to find things to appreciate.

Great article!
