You can’t suck up to the Law of Attraction

There’s no way you could be trying to cajole or curry favor with the Law of Attraction. Absolutely not. Not you. Me neither.
But just in case you have a wee tendency to strive for brownie points with LoA read on…
Since childhood most of us have learned to think of the universe or God or spirit (or the Great and Powerful Oz) as a big outside authority watching our every move, hearing our every thought and keeping score on a cosmic spreadsheet.
As a result… most of us have become adept at trying to justify our worthiness. We’re in the habit of begging, cajoling, promising to be good forever if only just this once the universe will ______________ [insert huge favor here].
The vibration of this could be described as groveling. Or some might say brown nosing.
The Law of Attraction responds to groveling by sending us more to beg for.
As grownups we may now think of ourselves as way too spiritually aware to cajole and suck up to an authoritarian universe. But are we really?
How often do you treat money carelessly by squandering or maxxing out credit cards thinking “the universe” will
take care of you and send money back?
You can lose a lot of money thinking that way.
Or: have you ever sacrificed your self respect in a situation, stifling your honest resentment while telling yourself it’s easier to tolerate and “put up with it” – while you imagine that the universe will reward you “someday”?
Usually your reward is a life of frustration and depression.
It’s easy to think the universe has all the power and you have none. It’s just that it’s untrue.
As a Law of Attraction coach, I’ve come to view the spiritual journey as an individual’s shift from experiencing human powerlessness and separation to experiencing the loving power within – and our eternal connection to ourselves as spirit.
When you discover that you are the only power in your universe, it opens up new worlds of choice, adventure, higher love, and freedom.
Plus, no animals or people are harmed in the making of this movie, because we’re all one, with completely equal access to our own spiritual power.
You may be wondering: what about the money/love/wellness I keep asking for? If I’m not pestering the universe, how will I ever get what I want?
Spiritually, you already have it. If you stop pleading desperately for it, you become able to see and receive it. Instantly.
It’s time we had a new experience: we aren’t separate from divinity – we ARE divinity.
Does this mean it’s OK to go around stealing and cheating to get money (or whatever) because “we are the only authority in our lives”?
People try to trick me with this question all the time.
Well. The authority you are is the same as the authority spirit is. I’m saying there’s no separation. Sure you’re free to steal and cheat – but you would never feel good about it, because it’s not who you really are.
All those other people who steal and cheat? They don’t have the same desire to live in harmony with the divine that you do. (And Law of Attraction doesn’t send them to my websites.)
It’s time we choose to live by the truth within us.
How? Start by paying attention to what you REALLY think and feel – and deciding you will honor it.
When you honor your truth, it’s not always easy – but you feel more peaceful, more expanded. When you don’t honor it, you feel uncomfortable and contracted.
The universe has never asked us to twist ourselves into knots to please it.
Every moment of your life, your inner divinity silently waits for you to decide how you will relate to it.

You’re so right on with your interpretation of what I call “spiritual welfare.”
Personally, when I focus on gratitude for every thing in my life, including the “alle
ged” lack of any sort, a shift occurs quite effortlessly.
Gratitude is the stuff of which amazing, powerful, grace filled manifesting occurs.
Ironically, our highest good is frequently best served when we don’t get what we think we want. We always get what we need. Gratitude is an operating system that works – if we so work it that it becomes part of the fabric of our life.

http://www.smartstepslifecoach.comLoved this! You nailed it. And Dorothy’s story in Oz is our own. She fled a dilemma (karma)instead of face it. A tornado (change) led to a path of seeking where she landed in a place of new awareness. She found her heart, her intellect and her courage along the way. But she was still stuck in believing in/relying on the power of the Great Oz. He kept sending her to do penance and prove her worthiness, as you point out. Dorothy was simply trying to get “home”. Back to where she knew who she was, experienced love, and was happy. Her moment of enlightenment came when she discovered that the Wizard concept was an illusion. Once realized, it became obvious that the power was within her Self all along. She experienced deep gratitude which took her back “home” which is back to the place of Self awareness, back to the source that is within us and without us at all times. Great story, no?
This is a great reminder that we can’t cajole (as in,’aw shucks…couldn’t you (Universe) just do it for me anyway??’) our way into what we want. You have a great way of illustrating how things work!
