You don’t have to be perfect to attract success

Often when small business entrepreneurs first begin Law of Attraction coaching with me they think the goal is to be perfectly positive all the time.
How fortunate we are that being perfectly positive isn’t necessary – first, because no one could do it. And second because the frustration of trying to be perfect (and failing) would actually make us less attractive to what we desire!
Here’s how we ordinary humans can receive extraordinary results from the Law of Attraction – without attaining perfection.
First – be honest about how you really think and feel. In the quest to be perfectly positive, we often work hard to put a happy spin on things. It’s a cover up – and the universe doesn’t buy it for a minute. Better to just admit when you’re upset, frustrated, worried, depressed etc.
I don’t mean we should wallow in those feelings. I mean: let’s accept the current truth of where we are. What a relief – we can be our gritty selves and not scare off what we want to attract.
Second – remember that you’re not required to believe what you think. You may be in the habit of believing what you think, but there’s no cosmic law that says you have to. So if your current truth is: “I just can’t make enough income in my business,” stop. Take half a minute to question whether that’s a thought you want to keep hanging out with.
Third – know that you have the right to decide what you’d rather think. And the universe hears your decision. Carolyn Myss writes: “Everything you do consciously is an invisible act of power.” Formulate what you now choose to think – for example, “I CAN make enough income in my business, because plenty of others are doing it, and I’m just as capable as they are.”
Your word has power and resonates throughout the universe.
Fourth – Claim faith. Once you’ve spoken the word for what you want, claim faith that the universe is responding to you. Don’t make the mistake of thinking you have to have perfect faith. You don’t. Emmet Fox says the will to have faith is the same as having faith.
Caution: Step 4 is where most people give up – because they can’t “get rid of” their doubts. I hope you now realize you don’t have to get rid of negative emotion, because we’re not playing the perfection game.
What’s important is that you – the grander you – continue to claim faith.
A good mantra for times of wavering faith is: “My mind is full of doubt, but I choose to have faith.” As you repeat this, the spiritual power behind it grows stronger.
With a little practice you can run through these four steps in a minute or two. Try it a few times a day – more if you’re really stressed out. The results you see – usually within a day or two – can only be called miraculous.

This article really resonated with me… very well put! Thank you Andrea.
When people put positive thinking on top of what they really feel, either to deny their real feelings or in a misguided attempt to change it from negative to position, it doesn’t really work. It just activates all the ‘stuff’ underneath. Working through what is there will clear the space for more empowering thoughts and attitudes.
http://www.naturalmigrainereliefnow.comHello Sile – thanks for the comments – I couldn’t agree more!
http://andreaconway.comDear Andrea,
I usually love your messages anyway, whether they’re through a teleseminar or written, but this time, as well because of where I am right now and what I have recently been going through, I just LOVE what you gave us here in this article. THANK YOU!
http://www.nicolenyqvist.comIt feels so good to know that we don’t have to be perfect and not have to be perfect in our thinking! And the one that gave my heart a healing boost is where it says that ‘the will to have faith is the same as having faith’. I can not tell you how much that means to me; thank you so much Andrea, you always shine a light when I really need it most.
p.s. I will print out this article and carry it with me, so I can read it every day.
Much love, Nicole
Nicole – Isn’t that the best news – that the will to have faith is the same as having faith? I’m so glad you felt healed by that statement from Emmet Fox – I have too, many times. Always wonderful to hear from you.
http://andreaconway.comWell said Andrea,
We are where we are and that’s ok!
Love how you remind us that we have the power to make the changes we want to see in our lives. Being less than positive happens to all of us as a natural process. When we know what we don’t want we know more clearly what we do want. Just as night follows day and day follows night, when we remind ourselves that life is moving from one state to another and we CAN and are SUPPOSED to move through the process.
Love how your clear reminders come when most needed ( is that you or me creating hahaha or is it co-creating?? hehehe) Love it either way and love your newsletters.
Much gratitude and keep up the great work, Gaynor Parke
http://www.advancedsuccesslifecoaching.com.auI’m recalling a Mary Englebreit drawing that shows someone setting out along a road and the caption is, “Wherever you go, there you are.” Thanks for your flowing-downstream-and-loving-what-is messages, Andrea. You ROCK! xo, Jana
Thanks for this great article Andrea! It made my morning and my day. You’ve been a HUGE inspiration to me and will be for a long time:)
