I’m a huge fan of Kennedy (he’s an amazing marketer and multi-millionaire but, more than that, a brilliant champion of small business owners and entrepreneurs).

Still, I suspected there was something he just didn’t get about the Law of Attraction. Even though he’s written a book, No BS Wealth Attraction for Entrepreneurs — and sells a seminar product by the same name. Both of which I’ve found extremely valuable and often recommend to clients.

Still, Dan Kennedy is often critical of the Law of Attraction.

I decided to write him and ask why.  To my surprise and delight he answered in his No BS Marketing Letter.

Dan said:  “Gravity is a law…Attraction is not a law at all. It is a process….It is a skill-set that can be acquired, developed, mastered… Most people take the title Think and Grow Rich too literally!”

I agree that too many people watch “The Secret” and decide that action is totally unnecessary as long as they think and feel good. Would you undergo a brain operation if the person operating were not a qualified surgeon but someone who simply “felt good” about surgery?

Because we live in a physical universe, action is part of the deal.

But that doesn’t mean there isn’t a universal principle of attraction operating everywhere.

Have you noticed that when you feel stressed out, afraid, and too scattered to focus, it takes so much effort to accomplish anything? And often your results are meager compared to the hours worked.

But when you take time to get in touch with spirit, act from faith that your intentions matter, and are supremely focused, you move through tasks efficiently and work with a determined and happy heart. At those times, you often experience unusual “coincidences” and fortuitous events.

That’s the attraction principle working in your life — attracting what you don’t want (so you can wake up to it) and attracting what you do want (so you can keep expanding it).

Gravity is a law sourced in only the physical planes — that’s why it doesn’t apply in the quantum field or in the arena of thought.

Attraction, on the other hand, is a law sourced in the spiritual/causal planes. It’s an aspect of consciousness — as well as an aspect of the thought and action that grow out of consciousness.  As humanity evolves in consciousness, we are awakening to the reality of our attraction-based universe.

Your parents probably never said, “I create my own reality.”

We say it often but often don’t quite believe it.  That’s because we are new to this evolutionary skill. We’re finding our way.  We haven’t figured out all the ins and outs of working with this non-physical law yet.

Our children and grandchildren will take Law of Attraction for granted.

Obviously we aren’t required to become a master of the Law of Attraction to be successful. Dan Kennedy is a perfect example of someone who doesn’t believe there’s an attraction principle yet manages to use it with admirable results.

Those of you who, like me, feel drawn to studying the Law of Attraction are simply the ones here to help evolve the world’s understanding of it.
