A fishing lure isn’t called “bait” for nothing. Shiny, colorful and attractive, lures also contain a fatal barbed hook.  Attraction marketing is at work here, offering you something you desperately want (endless traffic! qualified leads! more sales!). But it’s attraction marketing gone wrong.
